One right-click instead of your phone
The menu item appears on text fields. Nothing else changes.
It is the sign-in you do ten times a day — GitHub, AWS, the work Google account — with the phone left out of it: nothing to unlock, no six digits copied by hand, no code that runs out halfway through typing.
Generate a code without installingPassword Protection
Optionally lock your codes behind a password. They are encrypted on your device, and a recovery code means a forgotten password never costs you your accounts.
Worth switching on if the laptop travels with you, is shared at home, or belongs to an employer — otherwise an unlocked browser is all anyone needs to read your codes. The recovery code is there so that the password guarding them never becomes the reason you lose them.
Turn it on in the extension's settings, under “Password protection” — you get a recovery code to save.
One tap to the account you want
Sort accounts into groups like Work or Personal and filter the list in one tap.
It starts to matter at around twenty accounts: a freelancer keeping each client's logins apart, or anyone who would rather not have a personal mailbox sitting next to the production console. Filtering to Work beats scrolling a list while a thirty-second code runs out.
Give an account a group when you add or edit it, and the labels appear above the list.
Send someone a code, not your account
A link carries up to an hour of ready-made codes and never your secret key. Whoever you send it to opens it in any browser — nothing to install, no account to make. When the hour is up, there is nothing left in the link to show.
For the accounts a team shares — billing, the ad account, the company profile on a social network. The usual answer is to send the QR code or the secret key in a chat, which hands the account over for good; a contractor who needs in for one afternoon gets an hour of codes instead, and nothing that outlives it.
The share button beside an account makes the link. Add a password and send it by another route — on its own, neither half opens anything.

Is my data secure?
Your accounts live only on your device. We have no servers and never receive your data.
- Secret keys never leave your device

By default your codes are stored unencrypted and are protected by your computer login and Chrome profile — the same as most authenticator extensions. For stronger protection, turn on password protection in Settings: your codes are then encrypted on your device, including the backups, and cannot be read without your password.
Can I use this on multiple devices?
Yes! If you enable Chrome Sync:
- Your accounts will sync across all your Chrome browsers
- You can also manually export and import on different devices
- Note: Local storage is also used as a backup
Can I import from Google Authenticator?
Yes! Google Authenticator has an export feature:
- Open Google Authenticator app
- Tap "Transfer accounts" → "Export accounts"
- Select accounts to export
- Take a screenshot of the QR code
- In this app: Add Account → QR Code → upload the screenshot
If you already have the transfer link as text — it starts with otpauth-migration:// — skip the screenshot and paste it into Settings → "Paste links" instead.
Why are my codes not working?
If codes are rejected, the most common reason is time synchronization:
- Your computer clock must be accurate (within 30 seconds)
- TOTP codes are time-based and expire every 30 seconds
- Check if you see a time warning at the top of the app
- Fix: Update your system time or enable automatic time sync
